SEED Sponsorship

Help a North Carolina ACS Project SEED student SUCCEED, by contributing to summer stipend!

Project SEED  is a nation-wide program that gives economically disadvantaged high school students the opportunity to experience what itís like to be a chemist.  These carefully selected juniors and seniors get the rare chance to work alongside scientist-mentors on research projects in industrial, academic, and federal laboratories, discovering new career paths as they approach critical turning points in their lives.

Each participant in Project SEED receives 50% of their summer stipend from ACS National and the other 50% from the local section and area sponsors.  Participants are categorized as SEED 1 or SEED 2, depending on whether they are involved for their first or second year.  Our local section, the North Carolina Chapter, would like to invite you or your company to sponsor a student.  To find out more about doing so, please fill out the form below, and our section treasurer, Joan Bursey will respond to facilitate your contribution.
